Privacy Policy
Effective September 1, 2026
Our privacy commitment
Survlee provides survey creation, response collection, reporting, and evidence-linked analysis. We do not sell personal information or respondent data. This policy explains what we collect, why we use it, and the choices available to creators and respondents.
1. Roles and responsibility
For creator account, billing, security, and support information, Survlee determines how the information is processed. For responses collected through a customer’s survey, the survey owner generally determines the purpose and means of processing, and Survlee acts as a service provider or processor. Respondents should direct requests about a specific survey response to that survey’s owner; we will assist the owner where required.
2. Information we collect
- Account information: name, email address, authentication identifiers, account role, plan, and account status.
- Survey content: titles, questions, settings, branding, distribution links, and files supplied by a survey owner.
- Response information: answers, submission time, survey version, source labels, and any information a respondent chooses to provide.
- Technical information: request identifiers, IP-derived security and rate-limit records, browser or device information, logs, and diagnostic events.
- Support information: contact details, issue descriptions, the page where a problem occurred, and relevant browser information.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- provide, authenticate, and maintain Survlee;
- publish surveys, accept responses, and produce requested reports;
- secure accounts, prevent abuse, troubleshoot incidents, and enforce limits;
- respond to support requests and communicate service information;
- administer plans and product entitlements;
- comply with law and protect the rights and safety of users and Survlee; and
- improve product reliability and usability using appropriately limited operational data.
4. AI-assisted features
When a survey owner requests an AI-assisted feature, Survlee may send the minimum response material needed to a contracted model provider to generate that result. We do not permit customer survey data to be used to train general-purpose models unless the survey owner gives separate, explicit permission. AI-generated findings remain drafts until reviewed by the survey owner.
5. When information is shared
We may share information with:
- the survey owner and workspace members authorized by that owner;
- cloud hosting, authentication, email, monitoring, and analysis providers working under contract;
- professional advisers and transaction participants subject to confidentiality duties;
- authorities or other parties when required by law or necessary to protect rights and safety; and
- a successor in connection with a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale, subject to this policy.
We do not sell personal information or respondent data.
6. Retention and deletion
Survey owners control deletion of their survey responses, subject to plan capabilities, backup windows, legal obligations, and security needs. Export files are time-limited. Support tickets are generally retained for up to 180 days after resolution unless a longer period is needed for security, legal, or dispute purposes. Account and billing records may be retained as required by law. Deletion from active systems may not remove a record immediately from encrypted backups, which age out under controlled schedules.
7. Security
Survlee uses measures designed to protect information, including encryption in transit and at rest, least-privilege access, short-lived authentication tokens, logging, backups, abuse controls, and infrastructure monitoring. No security program eliminates every risk, so survey owners should avoid collecting information they do not need and should choose settings appropriate to the sensitivity of the survey.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or obtain a copy of certain personal information, or to object to certain processing. Creator account requests can be submitted through Support. For a particular survey response, contact the survey owner first so the owner can verify the request and identify the applicable response.
9. Children
Survlee is not directed to children under 13, and creator accounts are not intended for them. A survey owner who uses Survlee with students or minors is responsible for lawful authority, parental or school consent where required, age-appropriate notices, and appropriate data minimization.
10. International processing and changes
Information may be processed in the United States and other places where contracted providers operate, subject to applicable transfer safeguards. We may update this policy as the product or law changes. Material changes will be identified by a new effective date and, when appropriate, an additional notice.
11. Contact
Privacy questions and requests can be submitted through Survlee Support. Include “Privacy request” in the subject so it can be routed appropriately.
